Steamboat Springs, Colorado
The City of Steamboat Springs is located in the Rocky Mountains of Northwest Colorado, and is home to the internationally-recognized Steamboat Ski Area. During the winter, skiers and riders descend on "Ski Town, USA," a favored mountain resort of many Winter Olympians.
Steamboat is roughly a three-hour drive from Denver, Colorado, and is also serviced by the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN) in the neighboring town of Hayden. "Old Town" Steamboat Springs, and its historic main street area, on Lincoln Avenue, boasts a variety of shops, restaurants, and galleries. There are also plenty of year-round outdoor activities when it isn't snowing: golf, tennis, biking, hiking, fishing and hunting.
"I had not been to Steamboat before. I will back with my husband in tow to enjoy the local events and attractions.
I had a wonderful week, learning new quilting skills, enjoying time with friends old and new,
and delighting in the lovely Steamboat Springs area."
